We cannot thank you all enough! All those that have supported the ranch through purchasing baked goods, cakes, meat, livestock, grazing pasture, lending a hand, and more! Because of you, we are able to offer bulk pricing of our meat across the board. This means you don't have to have the freezer space to enjoy bulk pricing! Of course, based on butcher packaging options, if you want the absolute lowest cost and greatest flexibility in cuts, the best option is to buy 1/4, 1/2, whole beef, or whole pork.
4 Bear Ranch, LLC beef and pork products are raised in the 9-Mile Valley and brought to Superior Meats in Superior, MT for processing. All of our meats processed for sale are State inspected and then stored in our licensed meat depot freezers - allowing us to sell our meat to you at a wholesale price! However, since the inspection at the processing facility is not USDA, we are only authorized to sell our meat in Montana.
Our beef is aged 10-14 days and then cut in various ways to provide our customers a variety! Our pork is brought to the processor and butchered in several ways, again, giving our customers options on cuts. There are times throughout the year in which we have a live animal for sale, in which we can deliver to the butcher on a scheduled date, and you as the customer provide the cut sheet.
Our poultry products are raised at the ranch and are processed under the regulations in Montana Local Food Choice Act and the FDA. Under the Montana Local Food Choice Act, poultry may be grown and butchered while the processor (4 Bear Ranch) is exempt from food licensure, permitting, certification, packaging, labeling, and inspection regulations when selling items to an informed consumer. We butcher our poultry in the most humane way possible and use stainless steel processing equipment cleaned with a soapy bleach solution. We do not have a temperature controlled indoor space for processing, so outdoor temps dictate when processing will be completed to keep poultry as cool as possible during the processing operation. Once the process is completed, our poultry are placed in a deep freeze. All poultry products are butchered and packaged as whole birds, skin on, with necks in body cavity. We do not process any of the organs at this time. We also do not butcher any poultry not raised on our ranch.
Items purchased may be picked up at the ranch, delivered to you at a public meeting location, or your door, not to exceed 50 miles from Huson, MT. The minimum purchase order for delivery is $25. There is no minimum order for pick-up at the ranch, or pick-up at a market in which we are in attendance. Delivery of items outside of Huson, Frenchtown up to the Wye, and Alberton, will incur a delivery fee based on the miles to and from the delivery location times the current state mileage rate ($.70 for 2025).
We take Venmo Payments @MT4BearRanch (last 4 of cell 2535), cash, or check. If we are within cellular range, or have internet access, we can also take credit or debit using the Square app and technology.
