Have you ever sat back and wondered where on earth the time went? At times, it feels like nothing has gotten done - the same tasks are on the same to-do list. However, thanks to social media and the occasional post, we are able to reflect on the past years - and let me tell you, we have done A LOT!
Hi! I'm Julie Van Hise. My husband, Chris, and I are 1st generation ranchers and owners of 4 Bear Ranch - a ranch that not only provides for our family but provides for the local community as well. In 2017, we bought our home unknowing of what it would transform into in 6 1/2 short years. From mountain wilderness to mountain ranch wilderness - we have lovingly worked hard in building our dream! When we think of the time that has gone by, we truly wonder, how did all of this happen? There are of course challenges, but some way and somehow, they seem to resolve on their own...When we look around it really was, and still is, like we found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
Time. A crazy thing that at times seems to stand still - and other times goes in a flash. Fencing - fencing is one of those things that we procrastinate on, making time fly right on by! Planting new seeds for the garden - that is when time seems to stop! Unfortunately, we cannot plant seeds to make the time slow down to get the fencing done - for some reason it does not work that way!
From Basic Training in '97 to living the Montana dream, with adventures to Alaska here and there - we took a long route, but the route that got us here to this place, doing what we never knew we were missing - and we love it! I challenge you to look at all of the things you have accomplished this year, or past years, and look at yourself in awe. Every accomplishment, big or small, is an accomplishment - and you should be proud. Everyone has their own story to tell - what is yours?
